I like to think of this as guilt free fun, since all the people who are pictured submitted their own photos! I have quite a few that I think would be a nice addition to this collection. :)

Conversations with my Kiddos
I have a student whose name is Ian. Ian is 7...this was our conversation...it takes place in a 3 min block of time.
(Side note: When ever my students walk into my classroom I always ask them the same question...What's new. Some tell me all sorts of funny things others are like...I dunno. This is Ian's answer to my question.)
Me: Hi Ian...whats new?
Ian: I am growing my hair out, all my friends have long hair, even my dad does for an old guy
Me: How old is your dad (Pretty much I am trying to figure out what is old, for all I know his dad is 30)
Ian: 53
Me: Your dad and my dad are about the same age
Ian: My aunt became a grandma at 50...that's young to be a grandma
Me: My aunt became a grandma at 26 (She married an old guy with grown kids...they are still married)
Ian: 26 is to young to be married
Me: Ian...I'm glad you think that!
Ian: (With a look of totally seriousness)...Are you dating right now?
And then I burst into laughter
This is a video from our mini recital...Ian playing Star Wars

A Glimps Into My World
As many of you know, I am currently renting a room. My room looks out onto a church parking lot...great view, I know ;). Anyway, every Wednesday this man comes with his long flowing locks and brightly colored shirts and spends his mornings rollerskating around the parking lot. Maybe one day I will break out my roller blades from high school and join him. :)

Goodbye #504!
Today is the last day of our apartment still looking like our apartment. :( Kelsey's mom is flying in today to help her pack up. We move our stuff into storage this weekend, and move out completely next weekend. We started this project as a little tour of our apartment and you can see what it has become. We had the best time making this and laughing the whole time. Its been a great 2 and a half years. I am going to miss it here, and miss Kelsey even more!

Melting in California
I have a beautiful 2006 Volkswagon Passat. I love my car. She (yes, my car is a girl) is my first and only car. I got her after I graduated from APU, three years ago this October. She is a first generation since Volkswagon decided to redesign the Passat that year, but because she is a first generation, she has had a lot of problems. There have been past issues of the emergency brake getting stuck and having to get my car towed...that was loads of fun. The key getting stuck in the ignition, multiple warning lights going off and yet there is nothing wrong. Recently she has decided that she doesn't like AC which is perfect since the service department is closed on Sundays and it is over 90 today! She decided to stop working yesterday when I was taking my roommate to the airport so we dripped in sweat all the way there and I, all the way back. Which, when it is over 90, having the windows rolled down doesn't really work too well. I was supposed to drive to Vegas this weekend to meet my best friend, its a good thing it didn't work out or I would be sitting in a hot smelly car for 4 hours! Ughh...sometimes I hate my car!

Riding the Rails

Currently I am sitting on a train riding up to Santa Barbra for yet another wedding. There is this great elderly couple sitting behind me who are talking at full voice about mass murder, graffiti, the infamous Heidi Fleiss oh and did I mention lesbians (actually they called them lezzie's)? The best part is that I am sitting in business class so the train is completely quiet except for the couple talking behind me. I am supposed to by studying for my Psych Testing final, but I am way too entertained by them to even begin to study. Oh what fun the train brings!
